2 ¾ c. flour
2 ½ t. baking powder
1 ¾ c. sugar
½ c. butter
Mix together the above ingredients until a crumbly mixture forms.
Remove 1 ½ c. dry mixture- set aside.
In a large bowl beat remaining dry mixture, ¼ c. melted butter and 1 egg. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan to form crust.
Beat together 3 eggs, 1 large can pumpkin, 1 ½ c. sugar, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp. ginger, ½ t. cloves, and 2/3 c. evaporated milk (or regular milk). Pour on top of crust.
Finally, combine the reserved cup of dry mixture, ¼ c. melted butter, 1 t. cinnamon, and 1 c. chopped pecans (optional). Sprinkle on top of pumpkin mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream!!
