Frosted Banana Cookies

These are some of my very favorite cookies.
They taste like the most delicious banana bread in cookie form
with the added bonus of brown sugar frosting.
Delicious!

Cookies:
3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 bananas (mashed)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 cups flour

Frosting:
6 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
powdered sugar (until the right consistency is achieved)

Cookies: Cream butter and sugar. Add in egg and beat until fluffy. Mix in vanilla, banana, salt, soda and flour and beat until combined. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool.

Frosting: Combine brown sugar, butter, milk and vanilla in a sauce pan and bring the mixture to a boil. Add in the powdered sugar until a frosting like consistency is achieved. Frost cooled cookies immediately.

Makes 2 dozen cookies.

These were so good, everyone gobbled a few up right from the oven. We loved the super soft texture of them and my husband said they're his new favorite food with braces. They were also so quick to whip up, I seriously had to wait for the oven to preheat for these babies.
Thanks!
