We've perfected our homemade granola. This recipe will knock your socks off! It is so incredibly chewy and delicious. Try it out!
4 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup oat bran
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (or sweetened)
2 tsp cinnamon
(Feel free to add almonds! Turns out I'm allergic, who knew?)
1/4 cup coconut oil
2/3 cup honey
2/3 cup brown rice syrup (if you dont have this you can do half and half combo with maple syrup and karo syrup)
1/4 brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsps vanilla extract
Combine the dry and set aside. Combine the wet and microwave until the sugar is dissolved. Pour the wet over the dry and stir, coating the oat mixture evenly. Spread onto a cookie sheet covered in wax paper.
Preheat oven to 250 degrees and bake for approximately 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Take out and let cool. Top your yogurt and fruit with this tasty, chewy treat or just eat by the handful!
