½ c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 egg
1 ½ c. flour
¼ t. salt
½ c. milk
1 t. vanilla
1 ¼ c. finely chopped nuts
Cream together butter, sugar. Add melted chocolate, beat. Add egg. Mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to which vanilla has been added.
Drop from tsp. onto greased cookie sheet
Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes
Frost when cooled
Frosting:
½ sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. butter
1 egg yolk
1 c. powdered sugar
½ t. vanilla
