Broccoli Chicken Calzones

This is a delicious calzone recipe that you have to try!

Broccoli Chicken Calzones

1 cup chopped broccoli
8 oz of shredded part-skim mozzarella
2 cups cooked chicken
1/4 cup pesto (or more according to what you like)
salt and ground pepper
pizza dough (homemade or purchased- I used homemade)
marinara sauce

Preheat oven to 450. Toss broccoli, mozzarella, chicken, and pesto together and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Divide prepared pizza dough into 6 balls (or less if you want large calzones). Roll out each ball on a floured counter, about 1/4 inch thick. Mound filling over half of dough, leaving 1-inch border around edge. Brush edges of dough with water. Fold other half of dough over filling and press edges to seal. Repeat with each of the dough balls.

Grease baking sheet and transfer calzones. Bake until golden, 15-20 minutes. Serve with warmed marinara dipping sauce. Enjoy!
