Pork Tenderloin with Cherry Salsa

We went to a 4th of July BBQ at my good friend, Susanna's where I ate the most delicious new thing....grilled pork tenderloin with this incredible cherry salsa. It was like Christmas in my mouth!!

The pork was grilled to perfection with just an olive oil, garlic, and salt and pepper rub. But the salsa truly was the perfect compliment. Perhaps a labor of love because of having to pit each of those cherries, but worth it! And Lodi cherries are amazing right now....

Cherry Salsa:
1/2 pound dark sweet cherries, pitted and chopped (about 1 cup)
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated lime zest
1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion
1 teaspoon finely chopped seeded fresh jalapeƱo chili (wear rubber gloves)
1 1/2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh cilantro

I thought you hated cherries??? I'm so confused.
But, I am very willing to give this a try if a "cherry hater" actually likes a cherry recipe! Maybe you just dislike chocolate cherries.
