I'm going through an oatmeal phase right now. I think it's because it has turned cold here and all I want is to put warm things into my body. This recipe is brilliant. You can put it in the crock pot at night and wake up to a hot, delicious breakfast in the morning and the whole house smells wonderful.

1 cup steel cut oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of sea salt
1 cup dried fruit-raisins, cranberries, figs, pears-or nothing if you prefer
4 cups water
Put on low for 8-10 hours. Serve with warm milk, honey, or brown sugar.
